A warm Spring day with the sun shining down on MetLife stadium was the perfect setting for the 17th annual Walk to Cure Lupus. The crowd far exceeded 1000 as many community-based organizations, health groups sponsors and musicians volunteered their time and energy to create an excitement-filled day with entertainment and activities. NY Jets football players were on hand as well as their Flight Crew cheerleaders. They posed for pictures; signed autographs and tossed the ball around with the children. There were bouncy houses, live music, lots of games, face-painters and of course MAGICIANS. Many thanks to Tom Durnin, Paul Cohen, Tim Fortune, Jay Rosenberg, Topher Sutton and Bob Simek who joined me in wowing the crowds with their magic prior to and after their sponsored walk from the field to the stadium's top level and back. A very rewarding day for a very deserving cause. I hope more will join us for next year's event.
