Greetings Everyone –
Now that end-of-year celebrations are over, it’s time to move forward. Among my resolutions is to continue to expand upon our Volunteer Program and hopefully draw in some new members.
I have been in contact with the Lyon’s VA Hospital and arranged for a magician’s visit on Monday, Jan 20th at 6:30 PM. That’s MLK day and hopefully some of you will be off from work and able to participate. Please let me know if you can join us as I need to coordinate (or cancel) depending on the responses.
I’ve also heard from the LUPUS Research Foundation. Once again, they have asked us to support their annual walk at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, May 30th at 9:00 AM. This is a great opportunity to strut your stuff, meet some football celebs, fairytale characters, and walk teams. The pics I’ve posted on this site show just how much fun it is. If you’re new to the Volunteer Program, this is the perfect ice-breaker for you. You don’t need a lot of tricks or experience for this event. Again, please let me know if you can participate. I have to coordinate our support with the Lupus organization.
Finally, as most of you already know, our January meeting is Teach-A-Trick night. There is no fee to attend and guests are free. If you’ve got a friend, a neighbor or a work-associate who might enjoy a night out...invite them.
